Meet Ravinder!
“My name is Ravinder Singh. I am currently pursuing my master’s in management at University of Windsor with specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain. Back in India, I worked as a Proposals Engineer with Larsen & Toubro Limited which is counted among world’s top five construction companies. Further, I worked with Havells India Limited as a Material Management Engineer. During my work tenure at Havells, I developed a keen interest in pursuing a career in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management field. Therefore, I applied for the Master of Management – SCM at the University of Windsor and I have completed my first semester. I learned about core concepts of financial and managerial accounting as well as various methods of analysing and converting data into information. This made me realize the importance of data analysis to effectively use resources, engage employees, and control supply chain risks. After completion of my second semester, I will definitely gain understanding about various data analysis tools such as R, Python, Power BI and Tableau. Upon my degree completion, I want to work in a reputed construction company and preferably in transportation field such as Railways. I am honored to be one of the recipients of the Windsor Transportation Club Scholarship Program. I am truly grateful for the scholarship support. This scholarship will allow me to work less hours and focus on my studies and additional educational opportunities.”
